Dr. Matt Leavitt MD - Founder/CEO is a dermatologist and hair loss expert with degrees from the University of Michigan and Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. He founded Medical Hair Restoration, which became a top hair transplant company, and after its merger with Bosley, he served as their executive medical advisor. Additionally, he's the founder and Executive Chairman of Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery (ADCS), leading significant pharmaceutical research. His roles in medical education are expansive, including founding dermatology programs and leadership positions in various professional societies. His achievements have been recognized with awards like the golden follicle, and his publications are numerous. Renowned worldwide, Dr. Leavitt's extensive CV showcases his status as a leading hair expert.
Michael Mazen Jafar is a seasoned executive, investor, and board member with extensive experience in eye care and aesthetics, boasting over 20 years in the field. He recently led Desktop Health as President and CEO, advancing additive manufacturing in healthcare and developing solutions for a range of medical applications. Jafar also held the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Evolus, after a significant 17-year tenure at Allergan, where he played a key role in the success of brands like Botox® Cosmetic, JUVEDERM® Collection, and CoolSculpting®. Beyond his corporate roles, Jafar offers strategic insights to BCG on medical aesthetics and holds board several positions. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in International Finance and Supply Chain from the University of San Diego.
Dr. Spencer Hawkins, MD is a dermatologist and MOHS surgeon with expertise in hair restoration. He trained at Wake Forest School of Medicine, receiving a Sulzberger Institute Grant and completed his residency at the University of Michigan. He holds fellowships in MOHS surgery and hair restoration, plus an ASLMS preceptorship in cosmetic dermatology at Harvard. A speaker at major conferences and a prolific writer, he’s featured in top journals and media. Known for his Instagram @cosmetic.Derm, he also founded hairmedicine.org. He practices in East Greenwich, RI, and lives in Boston with his family.
Dr. Chesahna Kindred, a board-certified dermatologist from South Central Los Angeles, is a researcher, author, and national speaker with a commitment to community empowerment. Educated at USC with a BS and minor in Spanish, she made history with a dual MD/MBA from the University of Cincinnati on a full Yates Fellowship. Specializing in hair loss and ethnic skin at Howard University, she founded the Kindred Hair & Skin Center in Maryland, offering unique treatments like PRFM/PRP and housing a full-service salon. Actively involved in community health and mentoring, she leads in both medical societies and community health initiatives. Featured in media and published on various dermatologic topics, Dr. Kindred champions beauty as a form of empowerment and confidence.
